Arif Hussain will leave the organization to pursue other opportunities. With a firm pledge to create a digitally inclusive Pakistan, this new leadership will play a key role in fulfilling the country’s digital ambitions through accelerating the country’s telecommunications infrastructure and accelerating the deployment of next generation solutions.

Adotco’s end-to-end offerings in Pakistan include the construction and deployment of telecommunications towers; Leasing of towers and poles to network operators; Deployment of street furniture; Provision of power; And field operations for telecom operators, among others. In its expansion, by 2020 and beyond, the company will be focusing on fiber, small cell, edge computing and rural networks with a particular focus – components that will be an important driver for hyperconnected Pakistan.

Since its inception in 2014, edotco Pakistan has invested around US $ 200 million in its local campaigns. In addition, last year, the company also signed investments of up to USD80 million, a fraction of the USD 250 million it intends to invest in Pakistan over the next five years. This came amid increasing bilateral cooperation between Malaysia and Pakistan where the telecommunications sector is an important focus area for both governments.
To date, edotco’s business in Pakistan has grown to manage and operate around 1,750 towers and 5,000 energy sites. It has a consolidated workforce of approximately 1,600 employees and offices in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and Peshawar.
