Soldier martyr, 4 terrorists killed during IBO operation in North Waziristan: ISPR
RAWALPINDI – A Pakistani soldier has embraced martyrdom, while four terrorists have been killed during an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in North Waziristan on Sunday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces near the Kaitu River located in North Waziristan launched a rapid exchange of fire, launching an attack on a terrorist hideout.
Sadam, a 27-year-old Pakistani Army jawan resident of Karak in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) martyrdom while fighting valiantly for the country. Two other Pakistani soldiers were injured during the shootout.
As the soldiers surrounded the area, the militants opened fire to distract them and fled the site. However, all the militants were shot by security forces during the operation.
An immediate explosive device (IED) attack on a convoy of security forces in North Wazistan killed at least six soldiers.
Earlier in October, 14 security personnel martyred on the coastal highway near Ormara in large numbers facing militants.
