Oil marketing companies on Sunday maintained domestic petrol and diesel prices at current levels, which was the 16th straight day in the petrol rate and 26th in terms of diesel. According to the Indian Oil Corporation notification, the price of petrol in Delhi is Rs 81.06 per liter and diesel is priced at Rs 70.46 per liter, which was the same level as the previous day. In Mumbai, petrol and diesel prices were Rs 87.74 per liter and Rs 76.86 per liter respectively. (Also read: How to get latest petrol, diesel rates in your city)

State-run Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum – which account for most of the country’s fuel stations – review fuel rates on a daily basis, aligning them with international oil prices and foreign exchange rates.
Crude oil prices plummeted on Friday, dragged by concerns that a spike in COVID-19 cases in the United States and Europe would continue on demand in the world’s two largest fuel-consuming regions. Brent crude futures – the global benchmark for crude oil – fell 0.53 percent to $ 42.93 per barrel.
The rupee closed marginally at 73.34 against the US dollar on Friday.
