KP Health Minister contracts quarrel coronovirus

PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Timur Salim Jhagra tested positive for novel coronary virus.

The provincial minister said in a tweet, “I have tested positive for Kovid, and I am isolated at home. I feel fine and healthy with a slight cough”.

He said, “I will continue to work from home, health permitting, inshaAllah, and hope to return as soon as possible. If you have come in contact with me please do your test.”

Total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan reached 8,353 on Monday as 566 more people tested positive for the deadly virus during the last 24 hours.

According to the latest update released by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the total COVID-19 related death rate was increased to 6,466 for nine patients, eight of whom were undergoing hospitalization and were out of hospital on Sunday.

No COVID-affected persons were on ventilators in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Balochistan, while elsewhere in Pakistan, 80 ventilators, out of 1,912 allocated for COVID-19 patients, were occupied.
