Sind allocated Rs. 1.5 for minorities in Budget 2020-21
Karachi – Sindh government has allocated 1.5 billion rupees for the welfare and prosperity of minorities, in the annual provincial budget for the next financial year, 2020-21 Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah presented the Sindh budget for 2020-21. Talking about minorities, Syed Murad Ali Shah said that minorities are an integral part of the population of Pakistan including Sindh province. He said that he has the freedom to live life according to his religion and customs.
He said that the Sindh government has been taking timely steps for the welfare and prosperity of the minorities so that they can play their role in the development and progress of Sindh province.
Syed Murad Ali Shah said that Rs 855.6 million was allocated for minorities in the financial year 2019-20.
He said that an amount of Rs 750 million was allocated in the financial year 2019-20 as a grant for the welfare of minorities in Sindh.
He said that these funds are disbursed through a committee consisting of members of minorities for various purposes such as medical treatment, jahez (dowry), marriage, deserving and repair and maintenance of people, and construction of places of worship for minorities.
In addition to this, for the current financial year 2019-20, Rs 638.5 million was allocated for the repair and maintenance of 102 sites / temples / temples / satsangs / cemeteries / dharamshalas / church buildings or buildings related to prayer halls. Minority.
