Set aside Rs4.45 bln for Science and Technological Research Division
ISLAMABAD – The federal government has approved for 22 ongoing and 10 new schemes of Science and Technology Research Division in the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) 2020-21 for Rs. Has allocated 4,458 billion.
As per PSDP, the government has given Rs. 3675 million for the existing schemes of Science and Technical Research Division and Rs. 783 million for new schemes.
Among the ongoing major schemes, Rs. 2000 million has been kept for Pak Engineering and Emerging Technologies (PUEET). 242 million for the establishment of facilities for industrial production of nanomaterials at Latif Abraham Jamal Nanotechnology Center (Knowledge Economy Initiative) and Rs. 218 million for the establishment of the Center for Advanced Technology in Biomedical Materials (Knowledge Economy Initiative).
Rupees. 200 million has been allocated for the competitive research program, Rs. 155 million for the establishment of a Pak-Korea test facility for PV modules and associated equipment, PCRET, for Rs. 150 million for the establishment of Technical Training Center for Precision Mechanic and Instrument Technology, Gwadar and Rs. 110 million for upgrading Polymer and Plastic Laboratory at PCSIR Laboratories Complex, Lahore.
In the new schemes, Rs. 500 has been allocated for advanced skill development through international scholarship and Rs. 71 million for monitoring sea level rise and seawater intrusion and land subdivision in the Indus Delta Creek system with special reference to floods in Sindh coastal cities.
