The National Assembly of Nepal today unanimously passed the Constitution Amendment Bill to update the political and administrative map of the country covering the three Indian regions.
India on Saturday called Nepal’s “artificial enlargement” of territorial claims unacceptable after its lower house of parliament approved the country’s new political map featuring regions that India possesses.
The National Assembly, or the upper house of the Nepali parliament, unanimously passed a constitutional amendment bill to include the country’s new political map in its national symbol.
The bill was passed with all 57 members present in its favor.
Nepal claims India’s scripts, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura as its territory in its new map.
