Budget 2020-21: Pakistan allocates over Rs.27.4 billion for AJK projects
Islamabad – The government on Friday invested Rs 27,424.602 crore in the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) in 2020-21, with another nine projects underway in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
As per PSDP, Rs 26,860.602 crore has been allocated for the ongoing schemes, out of which an amount of Rs 24,500 million has been reserved for AJK block, Rs 500 million each for the construction of 48 mega watt Jagran-II hydro project project. Rathoua Haram Bridge on the reservoir channel on Mirpur Islamgarh Road, Rs 350 million for Mirwaiz Muhammad Farooq Shaheed Medical College Muzaffarabad and 350 million for Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Medical College Mirpur, Water Supply and Sewerage Scheme for Mirpur City and Hamlets Rs. 1602. 602 million. 100 crore each for the Athmaqam-Keran by-pass road, and for the AJK Legislative Assembly Complex and Noseri Leswa Bypass Road.
The government has also allocated Rs 564 million for a new scheme under which the affected population living along the Line of Control will be rehabilitated.
