PM Imran indicated to resume international flights
Islamabad – Prime Minister Imran Khan has allowed international flights to resume for Pakistanis stranded abroad after suspension of flights due to coronovirus, local media reported on Tuesday.
The chief presided over the meeting of the federal cabinet, saying that all possible assistance would be provided to foreign Pakistanis, adding that they are close to the heat of the government.
Flight operations will be resumed at various stages while flights to Gulf countries will reopen in the first phase. Flights to other countries will be launched after the return of Pakistanis from Arab countries.
According to sources, the Prime Minister has directed the officials to prepare an action plan in this regard.
“We are ready to help Pakistani brothers and sisters,” he said in addition to removing unemployment of foreign nationals due to coronovirus.
Pakistan had halted its operations for international flights after the outbreak of the epidemic to slow the spread of the virus in the country.
