Sixth PIA flight with Pakistanis stranded in US leaves for Islamabad

NEW YORK – A specially chartered Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight left Chicago on Sunday for Islamabad, carrying Pakistani civilians trapped by a coronovirus outbreak, according to the Pakistan embassy in Washington.

It was the sixth charter flight conducted by the Government of Pakistan in collaboration with the PIA, to repatriate about 1,500 Pakistanis stranded in the United States.

Pakistani Consul General Javed Ahmed Umrani in Chicago saw the passengers, the embassy did not provide his number from the city’s O’Hare Airport.
