PM Imran in Lahore reviews Punjab action against grasshopper, coronavirus
Lahore – Punjab Governor Chaudhary Sarwar and Chief Minister Osman Buzdar met Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday in the provincial capital.
During separate meetings, he discussed the overall situation of the province in the context of the steps taken to check the spread of coronavirus in the most populous Punjab province amidst political and economic situation in Pakistan.
Governor Savar apprised PM Khan that over 1.2 million poor families have been provided with ration bags under the Punjab Development Network.

Punjab has the highest number of 938 deaths in the country, while the number of confirmed cases is more than 50,000 in the state.
Later, while presiding over a meeting in the city, the PM was briefed on measures to control locusts in Punjab.
On this occasion, Imran Khan was informed that the Punjab government had greatly increased its capacity for prevention and control of locust attack.
Expressing satisfaction over the measures taken by the provincial government to control locusts, the PM directed the concerned authorities to take all possible steps to combat locust attack so that farmers’ precious crops could be saved from this natural disaster. .
